Welcome to your daily dose of AI goodness!
In today’s newsletter you’ll discover:
All in UNDER 3 Mins. Let’s jump in!
Tired of ChatGPT’s downtime and cost for GPT4? I was, so I mostly switched to Poe.com. You get 1 free GPT-4 messages/day plus 3 Claude+ (ChatGPT’s rival) messages. Or pay $16/month for unlimited access to both - a steal compared to ChatGPT’s $20/month.
Do paywalls drive you mad? Me too. Hell, I’m often paying for these publications and still sometimes walled out due to not being logged in etc. Now I use 12ft.io - it removes almost all paywalls.
I know I know, Bing used to be a joke. But today it was announced Bing would soon have long term memory. Bing’s new chatbot is built on GPT-4, so you get ChatGPT-level answers for zero cost. And Bing taps the whole internet, having knowledge of events after 2021, unlike ChatGPT.
1. Talk is cheap...unless you’re ChatGPT. OpenAI pays through the nose, up to $700k daily, so you can banter for free. Thankfully daddy Microsoft is cooking up an AI chip, Athena, to curb GPT-4’s appetite.
2: Code monkeys, listen up: Google's chatterbot Bard now slings code and debugs in 20 languages. Sure, the precocious little scamp may botch a semicolon or two, but at least it's trying to make programming fun again. So debug on, code jockeys—your new digital assistant has arrived!
3: DeepMind's shacking up with Google Brain! The rival AI labs are merging into "Google DeepMind" to build flashier AI after years of grudges. Forced together by Google's "Code Red" crisis over dull tech, CEO Demis Hassabis and chief scientist Jeff Dean now have to make this strange bedfellows sitch work.
🚀 Blast off! We've reached the end.
