FACT OF THE DAY
🤔 According to MarTech, 55% of businesses use ChatGPT for everyday tasks, making it the most popular AI tool for businesses, globally.
🚨 Donald Trump is confirmed as the 47th president of the United States and stocks soar. Tesla was the out-performer on the day rising 15%. This volatility spike has caused NVIDIA to overtake Apple as the most valuable company in the world. Learn more.
Our Report: According to experts, Donald Trump’s re-election as US president is likely to have huge implications for the AI chip export industry, big tech antitrust investigations, and particularly how the AI industry is regulated—as “once re-elected,” Trump declared he would “cancel Biden’s AI Executive Order (AI EO),” a framework designed to regulate against AI risks, which included requirements for tech companies to report on AI model training and safety testing, provided guidance for identifying and correcting AI model flaws, and established the AI Safety Institute which, in collaboration with big tech firms like OpenAI And Anthropic, studied risks in AI systems.
🔑 Key Points:
Trump and his administration—including Elon Musk—feel Biden’s AI EO is “scaring away would-be innovators,” forcing them to disclose their trade secrets, impeding more ChatGPT-type breakthroughs.”
After Musk called for her firing, Trump is also likely to replace Federal Trade Commission (FTC) chair, Lina Khan, who enforces AI antitrust laws and is best known for investigating big tech acqui-hires to ensure fair competition.
Although Biden imposed restrictions on AI chip exports to China, to prevent advanced AI development, Trump stated he “finds tariffs preferable,” but experts fear this may trigger trade wars which will hinder US AI progress.
🤔 Why you should care: While all this is just pure speculation at this stage, Trump has acknowledged that AI is “very dangerous,” hinting that regulating AI risk will play a key part in his agenda, going forward, and it’s worth considering the potential impact of Trump’s 2.0 reign, as it is likely to affect all areas of the tech industry.

Our Report: After reports came out in October that Google was developing an AI Agent—Jarvis—Google accidentally leaked a preview of it on the Google Chrome Store.
🔑 Key Points:
Although Google quickly removed Jarvis from the store, some eagle-eyed users were able to download the “helpful companion that surfs the web with you,” but were unable to use it due to access restrictions.
According to sources, Google is planning to release Jarvis in December (alongside an upgraded version of its Large Language Model, Gemini), just in time to automate mundane tasks like Christmas shopping.
The updated version of Gemini will power Jarvis which, alongside purchasing products, is also capable of gathering research and booking flights and is designed to help people “automate every day, web-based tasks.”
🤔 Why you should care: This comes after Anthropic recently released an AI agent, Claude AI, that can control a computer and read/write code, and rumors that OpenAI is also developing an AI Agent, with its CPO hinting that the focus for 2025 will be ChatGPT messaging users first and performing tasks autonomously.

Following the developer beta release of iOS 18.2—which included Apple Intelligence features including the Genmoji feature and integration with ChatGPT—Apple is now releasing this update to the public, in beta.
Those signed up for the public beta test will automatically get access to the updated AI writing tools, ChatGPT integration, and the Visual Intelligence feature (which uses the camera to identify real-world objects/places).
But to access the Genmoji and Image Playground features, beta users will have to join a waitlist, as there are safety concerns—especially surrounding the Genmoji feature—and scalability issues.
