Sora ‘Shipmas’ presents from OpenAI?

OpenAI has announced, after much teasing by OpenAI employees, that it's beginning a ‘12 Days of OpenAI’ initiative, on the 5th of December, which will see it ship or demo a new product or feature, every day, for 12 days, in the lead-up to Christmas, or ‘Shipmas’ as it’s now calling the festive period.

Rumors are circling that one of the ‘presents’ in the ‘12 days of OpenAI’ will be the highly anticipated and long-awaited text-to-video model, Sora. And, although CEO Sam Altman has remained tight-lipped over what will be coming over the next 12 days, simply telling people to “tune in daily to see what’s coming,” internal sources believe that another gift will be a new reasoning model.

OpenAI spokesperson, Leah Anise, has warned that not every day will see a gigantic, groundbreaking surprise, though. Some days, we’ll see big gifts, others we’ll get “smaller stocking stuffers” with the public already speculating that one of these could be a new Santa-themed voice for the Advanced Voice Mode feature after they spotted a new voice and a snowflake icon in the ChatGPT code.
