Apple announced its highly-anticipated AI platform–Apple Intelligence–at its annual Worldwide Developer Conference last month, and confirmed a partnership with OpenAI, which will see ChatGPT integrated onto Apple devices (15 Pro or above).

Now, they’re reportedly getting ready to announce its next partnership. This time it’s with Google.

Apple is due to launch Apple Intelligence, iOS 18, and the new iPhone 16 at an annual event in September. It’s also at this event that they're expected to announce the partnership with Google.

It’s rumored that the deal will integrate Gemini onto Apple devices, giving the Apple ecosystem three chatbots for specific AI tasks: Siri, ChatGPT, and Gemini.

But it’s not just OpenAI and Google that Apple wants to form partnerships with. Reports say that they have been in talks with Anthropic (to integrate Claude onto iPhone devices) and Meta (to integrate their LLM, Llama). Although, after previously publicly slamming Meta for their poor privacy policies and ‘inferior’ AI model, it’s thought that those talks haven’t gone too well.
