AI-powered search start-up, Perplexity, has partnered with Polymarket, a blockchain-powered prediction marketplace that allows users to bet on real-life events, using AI-powered, real-time data and probability insights to enhance the overall betting experience.

Details of the partnership

The partnership means Polymarket will now be able to display AI-generated, real-time news summaries, pulled from the Perplexity platform, paired with probability predictions, related to the specific event that a user is betting on.

It will also have a search box, that will allow the user to ask further questions about the event they’re betting on, and the results will also be pulled directly from Perplexity.

“Now, when you search for events on Perplexity, you’ll see news summaries paired with real-time probability predictions, such as election outcomes, market trends, and beyond.” Shayne Coplan, founder and CEO of Polymarket

Polymarket will also design and create a column, using Perplexity’s ‘Pages’ feature, which will be shareable and displayed on Perplexity’s ‘Discover’ section, with more content coming from other third-party sources, soon, to increase the amount of information for users.

In return, Perplexity will utilize Polymarket data, such as election patterns and market trends, to enhance its AI-driven search results, and display these results, visually, using the AI platform, Tako.

Why have they formed this partnership?

Both Perplexity and Polymarket have a self-confessed mission to deliver trustworthy information to users, in a cluttered, busy, and noisy digital environment. This collaboration, therefore, perfectly aligns with each company's goals and also highlights a growing need for instant, data-driven insights in an ever-increasing complex landscape.

“Polymarket has become a go-to destination for people looking to access high signal trusted information on an increasingly noisy web. We see Perplexity as a company engaged in a similar mission, and so investing in deepening our partnership makes perfect sense.” Shayne Coplan, founder and CEO of Polymarket
